UTTORI ASM ยท IN DEVELOPMENT
VS Code installation
Install the extension and build an assembly file in the editor.
On this page
Uttori Assembly requires VS Code 1.140.0 or newer. The extension uses VS Code's bundled runtime.
Install
Find Uttori Assembly (matthewcallis.uttori-asm-vscode) in Extensions, or install a release VSIX with Extensions: Install from VSIX.
First build
Open a local project folder and create main.asm:
lorom
org $008000
sei
Select Uttori SNES as the language mode if needed, then run Assembly: Build Binary. The default target writes main.sfc and main.sfc.debug.json. This is an assembly demonstration, not a bootable game.
For NES or raw 6502 projects, configure the 65xx plugin and target in uttori-asm.config.json. Use asm.configFile when the file is nested.
Limits
Built-in assembly works in Restricted Mode. Workspace plugins, analysis edits, and live emulator launch require a trusted local filesystem workspace. Virtual workspaces are unsupported. Live debugging needs a separately installed matching ares runtime.
